Goodmayes
Lane Open Day and Garden Festival
Sunday
6th September 2009, 1-5pm
Many thanks
to Sue Cunningham, Charles Whitham and many others for many hours of hard
work organising this event, and to the willing helpers who assisted on
the day. Thanks also to the Area 5 Committee which provided financial
help, for which the allotment society is very grateful.
The festival
was a resounding success, with over 1000 visitors arriving to see what
goes on at allotments, as well as viewing the many green stalls, attractions
and listening to the Eastbury Concert Band.
